Certification Process

A clear, evidence-based route from assessment to certification and continuous improvement.

Human Impact certification is designed to be rigorous without becoming needlessly complicated.

Every outcome must be explainable, repeatable and supported by measurable evidence.

01

The process

Six stages. One transparent standard.

01

Initial Assessment

The website is measured across each Human Impact pillar.

02

Evidence Review

Results are checked for completeness, consistency and measurement integrity.

03

Improvement Period

Teams may correct weaknesses and submit updated evidence.

04

Independent Verification

Certification requirements are verified against the published standard.

05

Certification

Approved websites receive a verifiable certificate and directory listing.

06

Recertification

Periodic reassessment protects the credibility of the certification.

02

Certification integrity

A badge is only meaningful when the process behind it can be trusted.

Certification decisions are based on published criteria, recorded evidence and the active version of the Human Impact Engineering Standard.

Certification does not imply perfection. It demonstrates that a website has satisfied the defined requirements at the time of assessment.
